Privacy Policy
Effective May 30, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how IDCaller (“IDCaller,” “we,” “us”) collects, uses, and protects information in connection with the IDCaller business-verification portal at idcaller.app (the “Service”) and the IDCaller mobile application.
SMS / text messaging consent
When a business registers a phone number with IDCaller, we send a one-time verification code by SMS to confirm the business controls that number. By entering a number and requesting a code, you consent to receive that verification text. Message and data rates may apply. Message frequency is limited to verification codes you request; we do not send marketing texts through this flow. Reply STOP to opt out and HELP for help.
No mobile information (including phone numbers and SMS opt-in/consent) is sold, rented, or shared with third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes. Phone numbers collected for SMS verification are used solely to deliver the verification code and operate the Service.
Information we collect
From businesses using the portal, we collect:
- Account details: business name, email address, and a hashed password.
- Phone numbers you submit for verification, and their verification status.
- Your branded caller profile (display name and optional logo).
- Billing information processed by our payment provider (Stripe). We do not store card numbers; Stripe handles payment data under its own policies.
From the consumer mobile app: the app checks an incoming caller’s number against our directory during the ring. The app never reads your contacts and does not upload your address book.
How we use information
- To verify ownership of submitted phone numbers via one-time codes.
- To publish a verified business’s branded caller ID to the lookup service.
- To authenticate accounts, process subscriptions, and provide support.
- To secure, maintain, and improve the Service.
How we share information
We share information only as needed to operate the Service: with our payment processor (Stripe) to handle subscriptions, with our SMS provider (Twilio) to deliver verification codes, and with infrastructure providers that host the Service. A business’s verified number(s) and chosen display name are exposed through our caller-ID lookup so the mobile app can identify that business’s calls — this is the core purpose a business registers for. We may disclose information if required by law.
We do not sell personal information, and — as stated above — we never share mobile/SMS consent data with third parties for marketing.
Data retention & security
We retain account and verification data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service and meet legal obligations. Passwords are stored only as salted hashes. We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information, but no method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure.
Your choices
You may access or update your account details in the portal, request deletion of your account, and opt out of verification texts by replying STOP. To exercise these rights, contact us at dmm.0416@gmail.com.
Children’s privacy
The Service is intended for businesses and is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the effective date above and, where appropriate, by notice through the Service.
